Pit Bull Mixes Viciously Attack and Their Owners in Kyle, Texas, Face Felony ChargesFriday, July 10th, 2015
Amy Jensen of Kyle, Texas, strongly believed that a neighbor’s four pit bull mixes were a serious threat long before she was brutally attacked by the dogs on June 11. She made repeated attempts to remove the threat of the dogs, by contacting animal services and the owners. Up to the point when she was attacked, her efforts were fruitless. There has been action since the pit bull attack, and this week it is expected that the dogs’ owners will be charged with felonies because of what happened to her.
Jensen was walking her small dog, part miniature poodle and part miniature schnauzer, and was just 11 steps from her home when she turned a corner and saw the four pit bull mixes, which had escaped their yard.
Jensen described the horrific attack. She said the dogs charged directly at her, knocked her down, and all began biting her. They shook her head with her hair in their mouths and bit her all over her body. Jensen’s dog was killed, and she saw the pit bulls tossing him in the air like a toy doll.
Jensen survived the pit bull mauling but has suffered a great deal of agony. She has been through a four-day hospital stay, now has 40 staples in her head, there are bite marks all over her body, and one ear was nearly torn off. She feels fortunate to be alive.
