This write up needs to get the facts straight. What is left out is the fact that the girl harrassed and taunted the dog numerous times. She and her parents had previously been asked to stop. The attack was minimal. Second, she was not "mauled". She did not even stay long at the hospital. She went home that night and was fine the next morning. She didn't even need stitches. The media does a great job of blowing things out of proportion. And in addition to all that, it was only one dog involved. The doberman was not near the girl. If you are going to post something, make sure you get the facts straight.

I love this video!!! I can relate this in my real life, because Im very much love dog.

I have a Golden Retriever and let me tell you, it is the best dog that I ever had. From the time we had her as a puppy to her now being 7 years old she is a complete
joy to the family. She listens to us and never ran away once. She is so smart and loyal that we never even have to reprimand her.
If we drop something we can tell her to bring it to us and she will! Honestly, the Golden Retriever really is the best pick because they are just so friendly, loyal, playful,
and smart and will become your best friend! I promise you, you cannot go wrong with a dog like this. Good Luck and I hope you choose the Golden Retriever! Yes you can get puppies at the pound too (:

to Mayor, Julie, richard-aka-ri., behzad, barc, public.affairs, Houston.Texas

I expect the city to do something about the pit pull allowed to run loose on the corner of Grace and Harrisburg Blvd. This dog growled and snapped at me, jumped at my throat, followed me down the street, neigbors who came to my aid helped me call 911, yet no police came, we waited for a long time. We flagged down a cop, they said they were not responding to the incident. The neigbor said he helped an elderly man who was attacked recently, the city came out, yet the owner of the dog, the property owner of the car lot on Grace and Harrisburg, hid the dog from from BARC. Neigbors say they call 911 frequently, nothing is done about this dog. This is a serious situation, I will certainly testify against the city should someone die from this dog, the blood will be on the city's hands. The entire area is actually over-run by dangerous dogs, the city got dozens according to an email I received after complaining about wild packs. I need to be able to wait at the bus stop, these dogs are preventing me from doing so. I am hoarse today from screaming for my life yesterday. Send BARC over to get the dog NOW. Dog has white neck, white paws, and gray/black striped back. There is also a loose reddish dog with one cut ear who comes out of the yard to growl, snap, and follow. There is no fence that reaches completely around the yard at any time.

My thoat is still burning two days later from screaming for my life.

Funny I never heard of Lillian’s Law, Texas House Bill 1355, and I've been practicing for 15 years. However, I just recently accepted my first dog bite case, one requiring two surgeries. It seems to me that a neglgence per se claim is bolstered by the statute. Thanks for the article.
